South Australian Newsagents Awards

    On the 3rd April the South Australian Annual Newsagents Awards were held at the Donato Reception Centre, Adelaide.

    Our National Sales Manager, Simon Davidson,  attended the evening and presented the "News Technologies" Newsagents of the year to Phil and Leonie Jenner, owners of Port Mall Newsagency. Congratulations !

    A big thank you once again to Colin Shipton, ANF SA Branch Manager for again organising this years awards celebration. The night was an overall success and enjoyed by all attending.

2011 National Newsagents Awards - Winners Announced


    The best of the best gathered at the Melbourne Conference Centre in Melbourne to celebrate and honour newsagents across the country.

Star Studded event recognises the best

    Well, maybe not "Star Studded" but certainly the best Newsagents in the west !
    Last night saw the Awards for Excellence of the West Australian Newsagency Industry. Neville Roediger, the Executive Officer of WANA welocomed newsagents and industry partners to the Pagoda Restaurant & Bar in Perth before announcing the winners for 2011
    




The category winners were:-
        RETAIL :               Nextra Ellenbrook - Merilyn Bryant
        DISTRIBUTION:    United News - Micahel and Wayne Van Dyke
        TECHNOLOGY:    Nextra Dianella - Reg Leaver
        PROMOTION:       Barragup News

West Australian Newsagency Industry Awards
    The prestigious West Australian Newsagency Industry Awards are being held tonight at the Pagoda Restaurant & Bar in Como, Perth this evening.
    Executive Officer of WANA said the night is shaping up to be one of the best in years with more than 100 people expected to attend and honour winners in the categories of Retail, Promotions, Distribution and of course the "New Technologies" award sponsored by Jenlist Distributors.

Winners are Grinners

     It's a wonderful thing to see retailers that are excited about their business and have a passion for the things they do.

    A shining example of this are the good folk from Caltex at Moree. They were nominated for the "2011 Excellence in Business Award - Retail" and went on to recieve "Best Presented Business"

    Rob and his team are avid supporters of retailing outside of their traditional core range and have proven that a range of stock coupled with clever displays and staff training ensures success.
    We can all learn from people like Rob and Anna.

    Last night the best of the best were celebrated at the Waterview Convention Centre in Bicentennial Park.
    Master of Ceremonies, Gary Monks (General Manager of NANA) once again proved to a full room of Newsagents and Industry partners why unity and membership are the way forward for the industry.

    There was great entertainment and comedy from Anh Do to get the evening going, the meal was excellent and networking opportunities proved popular. Mark Fletcher, who presented the award for distribution mentioned his disappointment that a publisher was not presenting this award. I for one agree. Why have the publishers turned their backs on this industry.

VANA Awards Winners Announced

The best Newsagents in Victoria have been honoured to night for their hard work, dedication and passion  for the Newsagency Industry.
