A Fair Go for All James Simadas - Friday, July 08, 2011

"A fair go for all!"

You may have all started to see the new TV ads for Virgin Mobiles "Robin Da Hood - A fair go for all" campaign. This campaign brings back the clever marketing we all know and love from Virgin Mobile.

Yesterday afternoon Cassie (National Sales Admin)  and Simon (National Sales Manager) were invited to attend a meet and greet with Sir Richard Branson to kick off the Fair Go for All canpaign.

The Virgin Mobile brand is about challenging the Telecommunications industry and giving consumers a fair go. So with "free voice mail" and"free Virgin 2 Virgin calls and TXT within Oz", roll over of unused credit and coverage that covers 97% of the Australian population on the Optus Dual Band network,  you can't go past Virgin Mobile for a fair go!

This campaign is only just starting and has already been prominent on the radio and television. There was even a write up about it in OK magazine this week.
So with so much going on around Virgin Mobiles new offers and handset range,  it is important to ensure you have adequate stock to meet the increased consumer demand.

Click Here to be taken to the Robin Da Hood web page, where you can get a run down on the campaign.

Mobile Broadband comparison James Simadas - Wednesday, May 11, 2011

Mobile Broadband Comparison

I picked up PC & Tech Authority magazine at my local newsagents this morning. Yes, I am one of those many peole that still love to buy magazines at a newsagency. Just so happens my local is Blaxland in the beautiful Blue Mountains and is the same newsagency Donna and I had with her parents for 13 years.
Anyway, as I said, I picked up this magazine as the cover caught my eye, comparing Mobile Broadband products from Telstra, Virgin mobile, 3, Optus and Vodafone. Oh, Vivid, a little known brand owned by Channel 7 is in there too, but it really isn't a Mobile Broadband like the others as it uses WiMax which has limited coverage.
Interestingly, Virgin Mobile Broadband and Telstra share the top rating amongst these contenders... 4 out of 5 stars each.
PC & Tech Authority stated "Virgin charges a fraction of Telstra and delivers a solid connection"
They went on to say Virgin's "solid data rates and excellent per - KB pricing make Virgin a great budget Broadband offering"

So, quite simply, PC & Tech Authority have just confimred that Virgin Mobile is one of, if not the best value for money and service Mobile Broadband available today in Australia.
If you want to read the article, I suggest you pick up a copy of the magazine (easy for all you newsagents) and turn to page 20.
You can order your Virgin Mobile Broadband Dump Bin here and place a copy of the magazine comparison with the dump bin. What a great way to up sell and promote in store.

Android Value keeps me Level James Simadas - Sunday, March 13, 2011

Android Value keeps me Level

Android handsets continue to gain popularity in Australia, and with good cause. Android offers a freindly and smart experience for users with more than 80,000 applications now available.
Using a "Smart Phone" takes a little getting used to if you have traditionally been using a mobile for simple phone calls and SMS, but once you have owned a smart phone for a few days you will soon understand the value of such a device.
I was hanging a picture at home the other day, and couldn't find a spirit level to make sure the picture was straight. My eye is pretty good, but I was using wall mounting tape, so I wanted to make sure.
With no spirit level, I was not confident to mount the picture. Then I thought... " I wonder if there is an app for that?" and sure enough, when I searched the Android Market place there was indeed a spirit level application. Not only did it serve it's purpose, and I got the picture up nice and straight. The app was FREE.

The Virgin Mobile U8150 Android Phone has just dropped in price to only $129. If you are considering your first "Smart Phone" this is a fantastic place to start.

Virgin Mobile covers 97% Population James Simadas - Wednesday, March 02, 2011

Virgin Mobile covers 97% Population

Many of our retailers think that Virgin Mobile does not offer the same coverage as the excellent Optus Network, and I guess some of the confusion comes from people associating the red colours of Virgin Mobile with Vodafone.

So I thought it best to set the record straight.

Virgin Mobile operates exclusvely on the Optus Network in Australia and therefore offers the same excellent coverage in Metro and regional Australia.

With 97% of the Australian population covered, Virgin Mobile makes an excellent choice for you and your customers. Our fastest growing sales of Prepaid Mobile are coming from Virgin Mobile, no doubt due to some hot rate plans and handset offers.

Take a look at the Virgin Mobile Coverage and the Handsets and Broadband available.

Virgin Mobile also offer some of the bets cap plans available on Prepaid....
